From permanent museum acquisitions to the collections of international galleries, businesses, hotels, and prominent private collectors, the extraordinary abstract paintings of Gayle Printz are among the World’s top art investments.
- What is your core vision for the future, and how do you see it shaping the global landscape of contemporary art?
“My core vision is based upon the importance of emotional resonance of art, honoring our connection to one another, promoting unity, and inspiring all people to celebrate the beauty around them. My vision has remained consistent since May of 2020 when I picked up my first paintbrush hoping to bring light to those whose lives were darkened by the pandemic. As I have no artistic training, I was just being myself. My paintings were so unconventional they immediately caught the eye of art experts. As a result, I quickly rose to international fame by inadvertently articulating abstract art in a style never seen. Within two months my paintings were on exhibit throughout Europe and, three months later, my work was added to the permanent collection of a museum in France. Because my artwork is so unconventional, it was given a classification of its own, and I am now globally recognized as the Founder of Modern Abstractionism—known for capturing a unique form of universal communication articulated in a impassioned voice that embraces our communal soul. Art is continually evolving, yet I am one of the few artists to introduce a new genre: MODERN ABSTRACTIONISM.”
- What are the foundational principles that guide your leadership decisions?
“When expressed in a peaceful manner, diversity of thought drives positive advancement. Analyzing the themes that connect us to one another, I use art to inspire, unite, and heal on a universal level. Because the enduring significance of art lies in the emotion it evokes, I will never tell a viewer what to see. I want them to experience my work through the context of their lives, individual history, memories, and emotions. Provoking curiosity, reflection, and emotional connection, I ask viewers to use their imaginations and experiences as the lens through which to define what makes each piece meaningful to them.”
- In an era defined by rapid technological advancements, what role do you think leaders need to play in driving ethical and sustainable innovation?
“Encouraging independent interpretation, I invite viewers to immerse themselves an environment in which they can never be wrong. By translating the colors of my world into the universal language of art, I hope to honor the human spirit by exploring themes tied to our shared experience. In so doing, my uniquely recognizable style established my paintings as a reference for the international art community.”
- How do you cultivate a culture of innovation within your organization?
“As an Artist without training my paintings boldly blend abstraction, expressionism, impressionism, and distinctively expressive emotional elements—creating a dynamic, engaging style layered with diverse themes and figuration. Viewers are summoned on a captivating journey through the depths of each painting, unraveling layers and finely nuanced symbolism to capture the universal and personal significance within. My paintings are celebrated for their use of vibrant unconventional colors, complex movement of intricately expressive brushstrokes, and highly textured three-dimensional layers through which new imagery magically appears as the viewer changes the angle of their gaze. For, I believe that when you embrace the unfamiliar, there is a richness and tranquility that can fill your soul. And, I hope my artwork fills yours.”
- What are the key strategies you are implementing to stay ahead in an increasingly competitive and globalized market?
“My artistic philosophy is rooted in the importance of inspiring others through emotional intensity and imaginative engagement. I try to create what does not exist. Exploring freedom of expression through a blend of creativity, a uniquely identifiable technique, and emotional depth, my work arouses personal emotional revelations within all who experience them—from collectors seeking to own a piece of art history, to art lovers eager to surround themselves with the consummate beauty of artwork expressed in a dialect yet to be spoken.”
- How do you approach disruption—whether technological, market, or geopolitical?
“My paintings are the product of disruption. They are the result of a life-changing pandemic shared by People around the globe. I invite each viewer to embark upon a captivating journey of discovery and exploration filled with beauty, humanity, and emotional inspiration expressed through a dynamic, unforgettable art form referred to as, “A visual wonderland” showcasing a “Limitless range of innovative artistry.” Art can inspire change and contemplation. But, in my case, change and contemplation inspired art.”
- In what ways are you working to align your business objectives with broader social, environmental, or ethical concerns?
“Concentrating on our communal identity, I use painting to explore profound themes that resonate universally by uniting us through our connection to shared triumphs and challenges. Within a few short years, I somehow changed the face of contemporary art and, in the process, I hope to have made a meaningful contribution. I now want to inspire others through my truly inspirational journey.”
- What do you see as your legacy as a business leader, both within your company and in the wider world?
“Art is a universal language. It transcends boundaries. It allows us to communicate, find meaning and experience life together. My paintings give each of us the ability to celebrate beauty in unanticipated ways. They summon you to find value in a world where you can never be wrong. My creative process begins with choosing colors that will complement one another, or not complement one another, depending upon how I feel. Color, movement, and texture become the focus of my composition as I explore where the paint takes me. Because I am what you might refer to as a blank slate, I do not have anyone else’s style to unlearn in order to express my own. I can fearlessly lose myself in the painting and, by doing so, create a painting unlike anything you have yet to experience. It can be difficult to get past the distractions inherent in abstract art because the purpose is not defined for the viewer as it might be in works of classic painters. Though not purely abstract, my work does create a non-literal view of our existence. Every painting tells a story. My contribution is to create a painting that entices you to wonder and think what that story might be. I summon you to assign personal meaning and universal context in the intangible beauty of art.”
- Can you name a key mentor or influential figure who has shaped your artistic style? What valuable lesson did you learn from them?
“Following my heart, I use art to present a unique perspective, in a singular manner, with a pioneering technical style that distinguishes my work from anything yet created. I do not refer to anyone else’s artworks when creating my own. Regardless of the beauty created by others, I do not want my paintings to replicate the work of anyone else. It is infinitely more fascinating—for all of us—to explore the unfamiliar. I am adventurous; I will try anything when painting—particularly if it has yet to be explored. Unlike formally trained artists, who tend to use a specific themes, subject matters, or color-combinations across their bodies of work, I have created a modern art portfolio in which each painting differs in breadth, scale, and concept. As a result, I quickly became known as a revolutionary—referred to as everything from an “Artist Without Boundaries” to a “Rule Breaker.” For my paintings are famous for freely crossing artistic genres from the abstract, modernistic, geometric, expressionistic, and post-Impressionistic to paintings reminiscent of the 19th Century Masters. Asked how I am able to accomplish this, I can only confess to being an unintentional artistic rule-breaker. Unintentional? Yes. Because, as an artist without training, I am simply unaware of the rules. And when rules cease to exist, the artistic possibilities are endless.”
- What is the most important piece of advice you would give to aspiring leaders who want to have a transformative impact on their industry?
“Be yourself and take time to enjoy beauty. Shape your essence rather than allowing outside forces to do it for you. And, try something new. Absence of training allows me to experiment and, by doing so, create a painting completely my own. I do not have anyone else’s style to unlearn in order to express my own. I can be myself. And, I have found no expectation or judgment looming—only subdued excitement from those who are watching to see what I will do next. Transforming artistic rules, my artworks are said to possess a ground-breaking style; they are considered uniquely recognizable, defined by the liberal use of unconventional colors, a three-dimensionality that allows new imagery to appear as you change the angle of your gaze to study my work, the deliberate, yet unrestrained, movement of brushstrokes within the painting to convey abstract concepts, and a palpable sense of artistic freedom. As a result of simply being who I am, my work is considered a different type of abstract—it allows me to create a non-literal view of life in an untraditional way. When the paint dries, that freedom of thought—the freedom to develop and safely express yourself—is transferred to you to identify what makes each piece speak to you.”
- Can you share some of your most significant achievements or milestones in your business career?
“Seamlessly crossing artistic boundaries, my artwork is considered a powerful blend of unbridled creativity, technical innovation, and emotional depth. Named one of the “World’s Most Investable Artists,” I sell my paintings to prominent international investors, collectors and esteemed art lovers interested in owning a piece of Art History. With work on exhibit around the World, 80 global art publications (thirty as cover artist), countless solo and group exhibitions and over 2500 important international prizes and honors, I am said to be one of the most important artists of our era. See GaylePrintz.com for a Modern Art Gallery in which every painting is an International Award Winner.”
